South Denver Luxury Homes

Luxury homes can be found throughout the southern Denver metro area, offering buyers a variety of locations ranging from convenient, suburban living to much more private homes nestled into Colorado’s forests. In general, these luxury homes are defined as property valued at or above $1,000,000. Some of these communities are gated, like Castle Pines Village, but many aren’t.

For those looking to stay close to southern Denver, Cherry Hills Village is a great option. Many parks throughout the neighborhood and the Cherry Hills Country Club (a two-time PGA championship host) keep the subdivision feeling private, even though it is ten miles away from downtown Denver and only five miles away from the jobs in the Denver Tech Center. If you want to be even closer to Denver, neighborhoods like Belcaro, Hilltop, and Cherry Creek North are convenient locations tucked away east of Capitol Hill, close to amenities such as the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Cheesman Park.

Many more luxury homes and open spaces can be found further south in Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines and Lone Tree. Gated subdivisions like Backcountry and Highwoods in Highlands Ranch and Heritage Estates in Lone Tree are great for people with jobs at the Denver Tech Center, Meridian Business Park, or Skyridge Medical Center. This area has great schools, golf courses, trails, and malls all in one convenient location. It is also connected to Denver by the Light Rail, making it easy to take a quick trip to Denver for the night to catch a Rockies game or see a concert.

Castle Pines Village is located roughly ten miles south of Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree and offers a much more secluded environment with houses that are built into the tall evergreen trees found throughout Colorado’s landscape. The community is home to the Castle Pines Golf Club, a world class course which is famous for hosting the International tournament in the PGA Tour for 21 seasons. For those looking for even more secluded living, the small towns of Sedalia and Larkspur are home to small subdivisions of large houses built into the beautiful landscape of red rocks, accompanied by native wildlife like deer, fox, and even the occasional bear. Larkspur is also home to the Perry Park Golf Club which is built around the area’s many red rock outcrops. These subdivisions generally attract people who don’t mind the longer commute, are nature lovers, or people who are looking for a luxury home that is a bit more affordable than those of similar size located in town.
