The Villages — Convenient Highlands Ranch Patio Homes in a Great Location!

The Villages is a small neighborhood comprised of about 200 cluster and single family patio homes built by Oakwood Homes in the mid to late 90s. The small subdivision can be found in the Westridge region of Highlands Ranch on the southern corner of Lucent Boulevard and West Highlands Ranch Parkway, just south of Carlyle Park. The Brownstones at Town Center border The Villages to the east, and Westridge Knolls are located to the south.

Red concrete driveways line a loop created by the streets of Laurenwood Way and Braewood Avenue to create an ambiance that is unique to The Villages. Short light poles at the end of each driveway and well-maintained trees and shrubs throughout the streets add to an environment that makes this community seem just as its name suggests: a cozy village tucked within the sprawling streets of Highlands Ranch.

These homes were built with low maintenance attributes in mind. Small lot sizes averaging .08 acres, tile/concrete roofs, and shared cul-de-sac style driveways between multiple houses all reduce maintenance responsibilities like lawn mowing and snow shoveling.

This community also has its own community pool… another great convenience.  This community has a sub-HOA for the Villages, and also the master HRCA HOA, but it is still very reasonable at approximately $135/mo.

Those who enjoy the convenience of low maintenance homes will also enjoy The Villages’ convenient location. Running daily errands is simple with multiple shops and restaurants close by. Target, Natural Grocers, Petco, Garbanzo, and others are located on the northern corner of Lucent Boulevard and West Highlands Ranch Parkway. Home Depot, Key Bank, Tattered Cover, Qdoba, and a few medical practices can be found on the eastern corner of the intersection.

Schools and recreation are also nearby. Eldorado Elementary School is located a short walk away, just south across Westridge Knolls Avenue. Middle and high school students walk a little further south across Marcy Gulch Trail to the Ranch View Middle School and Thunderridge High School campus. The Marcy Gulch Trail can also be taken west to the pool and tennis courts at Westridge Recreation Center, or to the open field, basketball courts, covered shelter, and playground at Marcy Park. The Villages also has its own pool reserved for its community members on the corner of West Braewood Avenue and Laurenwood Way.

The Villages subdivision is located in Douglas County, Zip Code 80129.
