Weatherstone is a small, luxury subdivision of roughly 300 homes located just one mile west of South Broadway & Wildcat Reserve Parkway. Situated in the Westridge region of Highlands Ranch, the neighborhood’s boundaries span south of Indigo Hill and east of the gated Backcountry community. From the late ‘90s into the early 2000s, builders Sanford and Beazer constructed the majority of Weatherstone’s two-story houses that average roughly 3,500 square feet. Many of Weatherstone’s homes also boast finished basements sitting atop lots ranging from 0.30 to 0.50 acres.

While Weatherstone is not a gated community, like the neighboring Backcountry subdivision, the lack of cross streets within the subdivision creates a private environment. Weathers Field Way and Stone Mountain Drive are the only two roads leading into the neighborhood, and ultimately merge into each other to create a loop leading back out to Wildcat Reserve Parkway. At Weatherstone’s northernmost end, buyers will find the streets of Brookhollow Circle and Southbury Place populated with large homes featuring handsome brick and stone accents. Moving south to Meyerwood Circle, houses grow larger and are even more remote from outside traffic, eventually merging into The Ridge at Weatherstone (a sister community within Weatherstone) where buyers can find high-end homes on Ridgecrest Circle and Ridgecrest Way.

In addition to their luxurious houses, residents enjoy a convenient family location. Parents of younger children will have no trouble getting their kids to school on time as Stone Mountain Elementary is located within the subdivision on Stone Mountain Drive. Older kids just have a short, half-mile trip west on Wildcat Reserve Parkway to Ranch View Middle School and Thunderridge High School. Go just another half mile west and active bodies looking for a workout can utilize the weight room and lap pool at the Westridge Rec Center, located on West Highlands Ranch Parkway.

When summertime recreation comes along, kids and parents alike enjoy the weather at Pronghorn Park’s playground, which is adjacent to Stone Mountain Elementary School. Older kids will like the basketball courts and soccer field at Stone Mountain Elementary. When it gets too hot, residents can take a short walk down the street to the community pool. Walkers and runners also have access to the Spring Gulch Trail, a concrete path that runs through the wide open landscape of Weatherstone’s center and out to other paths that connect Highlands Ranch’s vast trail network. Many of Weatherstone’s quiet streets also have bike lanes, adding to the community’s homey appeal. These amenities do come at a price, however, as residents pay dues to a separate Weatherstone Homeowners Association.
